The global issue of work-related stress is increasing. There are many aspects to this problem, as this type of stress impacts our body, life, and mental health. However, some individuals may not recognize the reasons behind it.
On one hand, stress has both positive and negative effects. While stress can enhance certain aspects of a person’s life, nowadays, many people, particularly adults, neglect their health by working long hours (about 8-10 hours a day). This negative aspect of stress only leads to increased aggression in a person’s life. For example, my neighbor spends more than 8 hours working to support his family, but his mood and physical appearance suffer due to stress. His mind becomes consumed with thoughts about work, leaving little room for other things. Consequently, scientists have identified two types of stress that can occur.
On the other hand, every problem has a solution, including stress that deteriorates one’s well-being. The key issue often lies in working excessive hours. To address this, workers should take regular breaks to become more adaptable and creative in their roles. Moreover, taking breaks can also benefit other aspects of their lives. For instance, a worker who takes breaks can engage in activities like traveling to enhance skills such as communication, which are essential in daily life. Consequently, they will be able to perform at their best.
In conclusion, it is essential for everyone to prioritize rest and develop fundamental skills that will be valuable in the future. By paying attention to their health and overall well-being, individuals can effectively manage stress and prevent it from becoming overwhelming.
