Sport is a one of the most widespread occupation in the world; additionally, there is a number of sports professionals, whose salary usually is higher than those, who aren’t connected with this area and whose occupation is momentous too. Although some people think that this situation is completely fair, others think vice versa. However, it is my conviction that it would be better to use a number of certain facts to draw an appropriate conclusion.
Primarily, on the one hand, it might be seen that these salary proportions aren’t justified enough. Namely, due to the fact that sport doesn’t bring practically any material favor. For instance, if a sportsman is awarded, government and its inhabitants won’t earn any money; therefore, it is not lucrative, comparing with the costs of training this professional. Moreover, if some universities teach a number doctors, in future they will treat many people, which, consequently, enhances a level of people’s life duration, in contrast to sportsmen, who won’t effect on this unit. Hence, sport professionals’ salaries are partially justified.
Notwithstanding, on the other hand, there is a plethora of arguments in favor of that sportsmen earn the appropriate to their efforts amounts of money. For example, approximately each 2 years Olympic Games occur, which brings large amounts of investments in country’s economy which provides it. Apart from that, sport is a very complicated occupation, which requires grand efforts; therefore, if person works hard, he or she needs to earn appropriate amounts of money. Thus, sometimes sport is an extremely lucrative area.
In a nutshell, there is a number of pros and cons of the given standpoint. However, I conjecture that our society needs to enhance its health level, i.e. to do sports more times. Consequently, less people will be diseased. Also, about salaries: it seems to me that they are fully justified because if they are not that high, sport won’t exist, therefore, plenty of people will be unhealthy, which is more significant issue than, for instance, some teacher’s salary.
