In the modern day, the intervention of technological innovations in human life has a dramatic increase. Despite the merits of this trend, I firmly believe that there are several distinct disadvantages.
Undoubtedly, technological progress yields benefits to humans, particularly teenagers. Primarily, people’s quality of life can be enhanced by using digital devices properly. With the help of robots, household chores will be managed efficiently. As a result, they can spend quality time with themselves and with their families. Not only does technology help individuals perform household tasks, but it also influences relationships in both business and education. For instance, telephones and the Internet allow business people, students, and teachers in different places to interact without meeting each other.
On the other hand, life with a range of technological devices has several detrimental effects on individuals. To begin with, excessive dependence on technology may lead individuals to rely on automated solutions, restricting their ability to make use of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. A typical example is that students might develop a habit of searching for answers on the Internet rather than cultivating analytical skills, thereby diminishing their productivity in academic pursuits. Additionally, if people approach technological devices excessively, it can harm their physical and mental health. To illustrate, when you glue your eyes to the screen for many hours, it may lead to headaches. As a result, you cannot sleep well at night and experience fatigue in the morning. Another point is worth noting that excessive internet usage will create a sedentary lifestyle among teenagers, which may discourage them from participating in some extracurricular activities.
In conclusion, besides the benefits of technological progress, I strongly believe that this tendency has more detrimental influences on people. In my opinion, individuals have to control their screen time and establish an appropriate Internet usage schedule for themselves.
