Trading and travelling are proven to be among the major causes of pollution all over the world.Some people think that it would be better if governments put more focus on solving this problem, while others think that it can be done by people. In my opinion, governments are far superior to people in addressing the problem of pollution, as it would be hard for people to work as one and reach an interagreement.
On the one hand, governments have numerous options to solve pollution-related problems. One of them is the elimination of trading by environmentally-harmful modes of transportation, such as aircraft and ships, which would substantially reduce the amount of carbon emissions. Thus, by choosing more ecologically-friendly types of the transportation for trade, such as electric vehicles, the environment would not be affected by any pollution and experience a recovery in many parts of the world. For example, further development of electic or hybrid vehicles with no emissions, would bring significant changes to the current problem of pollution and may even be more advantageous in terms of trading, by providing faster and safer transportation of goods.
On the other hand, people can reduce their frequency of travelling or even ceasing it, therefore completing the same task. By doing so, they would contribute to the decrease in the levels of pollution and play a significant role in solving the problem of pollution. However, it is hard to achieve, as there are many businessmen with the increasing need of travelling in this fast-paced world. In a sense, it would have detrimental effects on the economy of the world, supporting the view of problem-adressing by governments. Reaching a consensus among people is difficult, because the majority of them will be against this suggestion.
In conclusion, the possible solution for governments is moving the flow of trading to ecologically-friendly types of transportation, while people can cease air travelling to reduce the harm to our planet. I think that sollution by governments is more effective, as it would eliminate the pollution once and for all. As for the people, even if they reduce the amount of air travelling, the pollution would not be stopped, as we cannot live without travelling.
