In my perspective, higher structures are a more effective solution because they occupy less space and are more efficient.

By constructing high-rise buildings, more people can live in the same area without needing additional land. This helps to protect natural areas and reduces the need to destroy green spaces for new housing developments.

In densely populated areas, metro and bus networks, for example, can run more efficiently. As a result, individuals can move more quickly, and traffic pollution may be minimized.
However, spreading cities horizontally can cause a number of issues. It frequently causes traffic congestion since individuals have to travel longer distances to work or education. Furthermore, building on farms or natural areas might harm the environment.
