The animal species are disappearing at an alarming rate due to irresponsible human actions both on land and in the ocean. While there are clear reasons behind this problem associated with deforestation and marine pollution, i believe that a number of measures can be taken to alleviate the problem.
Without a doubt, the decrease of ground and marine animals can be attributed to a wide range of recent factors. As the world population started to increase dramatically, the governments were in need of more residental areas and apartments, thereby destroying many forests and green spaces in order to create urban areas and to use their wooden resourses. Given these circumstances, it comes as no surprise that the natural habitats like wild forests and woodlands are shrinking because of urbanization, which in turn puts animals at high risk and causes their extinction.
Various pollutants and industrial activities could be another reason. As the oceans have been contaminated by different factories and people, the marine life started to suffer from heavily polluted water and oil spill which leaks from factories. Consequently, these actions are devastating marine life and annihilating entire fish populations and coral reefs.
There are various ways in which the problem of the extinction of animals can be addressed. Fist of all, it is essential for the government to launch reforestation programs and limit industrial pollution with strong regulations. This can be accoplished by planting trees and wild shrubs which can be shelter and food for many small animals. Additionally, it is also important to introduce strict penalties for factories which are polluting water with their oil spill. Without the implementation of these measures, this problem may continue to destroy countless wild and freshwater species across the globe.
To conclude, the rapid decline of animal species is mainly caused by habitat destruction and pollution. This problem can be addressed through introduction of heavy penalties and protection of natural habitats.
