Nowadays, there are many ways to entertain like video games. Some people are of the opinion that video games have detrimental consequences on both themselves and society. I subscribe this notion, as these types of games bring health problems and a lack of interactions, as well.
One of the most unavoidable drawback of playing video games can be an effect on sightseeing. It is a fact that seeing ability worsens, as people get older. Today’s individuals, however, get immmersed in such video games on handled devices such as phones. Unlike computers, phones’ screen is small and this leads people to look at their phones closer, resulting in sightseeing issues. Moreover, this has long-term consequences, for example, individuals would not clearly see objects near to them.
Another drawback of this type of entertainment would result in a lack of communication with others. Owing to this “entertainment”, people may spend little to no time to their family or friends, leading to people getting more isolated. Admittedly, crime also starts with this kind of loneliness, meaning that man may step into the crime by meeting up friends on these video games. Take one school student who is 16-17 in the USA as an example, he made friends on PUBG, which is very popular game among teenagers, then he killed many school stuents as he played and murdered online, meaning that video games make unethical activities ordinary.
To conclude, I believe that such visually appealing video games on handheld devices have many serious aftereffects such as health problems and effects on communication.
