Band 4+: The availability of entertainment such as video games on handheld devices is harmful to individuals and to the society they live in. To what extent do you agree and disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, there is availability of many technologies due to which our lives have become much more easier and comfortable. But everything has two sides positive and negative, likewise that the technologies also have disadvantages. So, I agree that the availability of electronic games in portable phones is harmful to individual and society they live in.

Portable phones are very useful for us as we can take it wherever we want and it is the easiest and fastest way of communication. Not only that, it also helps us in entertainment as, it plays music, we can watch different videos and movies etc. Games are also an entertainment but now day people are being very addicted to it which is a negative point.

I personally think, that entertainment is necessary in life but the entertainment which cost the life is not good. Today’s people have become lazy and are always on their phone and the existence of such entertainment will promote their laziness more as, they won’t go out and will always play the games in the phones rather than the real sports.

As they become more and more addicted to the games they will start to play the games whenever they can such as : while eating, while walking in road which will eventually lead to an accident. As people will give their whole time to games they will not do their work properly, they can’t concentrate properly in their work/studies and they will not spend time with their families and friends which will loosen their bond and at last they will be all alone.

In conclusion, I want to say that we should know our limits for screen time and we shouldn’t be addicted to the technologies and their programms and lastly we must enjoy the real life with our families and friends.
