Nowadays, Protect the environment is necessary for all peoples. If people use local resources, such as food, vegetables and building materials instead of transporting from other places, it can contribute to protect the environment. I largely agree with this statement because using local products is the best way to decline pollution but sometimes buying some products from other city is important in critical situation. This essay will discuss the merits of using local products outweigh demerits in subsequent paragraphs with relevant examples.

To begin with, the main advantage is less usage of plastic in packaging. When food and other materials are sold in other city or country then packaging is necessary for hygiene. If people use the local resources, than packaging is not always required and decrease the use of plastic can enhance the air quality. Moreover, it can save the cost of fuel for transportation. Transportation charge may be high when customer order from different city and large quantity of fuel are used, it cause of air pollution. For example, young youth are influence to shop anything online. Customer order some watches, clothes and food or vegetables, this products may be transport from other city so that it is essential for wrap the plastic on it and also fuel are using. Consequently, purchase the products from other city can reason for disturbing the environment.

On the other hand, some products are not available at local market such as building materials, medicines and other products which is used in daily life. Building materials and medicines are sold in big city whereas vegetables and other grocery items are grown by farmer in villages. Rural area people purchase building materials and medicines form urban area because of both items are not available in the villages. However, transport the grocery items from farmers are vital for city peoples. As a result, availability of product is also depending on the customer demand and requirement for buy product from their city or other city.

In conclusion, this development has both pros and cons on their way. Using local resources is good way to protect the environment, rather than transporting resources from other city but when product is not available than people buy thing from other cities is necessary.
