Most people nowadays hold a similar view that shopping is becoming a habit of people. In light of this, people differ in their views as to whether or not age group is the main factor of this trend. I slightly disagree with this view because other influences were also significantly reflects the purchasing habits.
In modern life, items are often divided by age category for consumption. For instance, young consumers are acquiring based on trends instead of goods quality.Social networking platforms are markets that collect a variety of commodities such as live streams of shoes, cosmetics, etc. This allows young people to purchase trendy things at lower prices and with numerous incentives. By contrast, the adults’ shopping tendencies develop on product reliability and good reviews. Because items are often targeted at specific age groups, consumerism habits tend to develop along these lines
The age segmentary considerations also create shopping habits but to me personality there are many other influencing factors in the consumption of merchandise. Income and gender also influence the formation of shopping behaviors. Firstly, consumer spending tends to increase with higher income. For example, a high-income earner might prioritize luxury items. They can spend a large amount of money on shopping or their hobbies, while those with lower income might focus on finding deals and value. Secondly, demographic is also a factor in expenditure habits, women and men are different in shopping desires. Women usually focus on trendy fashion and cosmetics, while men are more interested in technology. Therefore, people’s shopping preferences also are developed by other influences.
In conclusion, the age group is not only a factor that affects shopping behavior but also many factors are considered to influence shopping habits such as economic factors and gender.
