In many educational traditions around the world, the development of teamwork experience in students through team sports lessons has become a widely adopted institution, although there have been several other methodologies. As I have no preference for the former or the others, I will attempt to find various views on them.
Foremore, For the purpose of encouraging student participation in teams, the team sport lessons have stood the test of time. In other words, from antique times to these days, in distinct cultures, it was common to teach youth teamwork through sports competitions. Through these and other lessons, students would, at first, socialize more effectively; second, learn to discipline and to work for the sake of the team or community; and last, strengthen their patience and endurance. Besides the likelihood of being bullied and receiving negative responses from teammates, students would learn to stand up for themselves and patiently overcome these effects. But, on the other hand, there are some individuals who prefer to act alone rather than participate in any community. So, apparently, for them, team sports would have an unwilling impact due to the fact that these individuals may well alienate others from themselves.
To have an efficient impact on any kind of person, other institutions have been developed, like those in military academies, which are primarily focused on discipline rather than team relationships. For instance, they teach students to cooperate not through friendly relations but rather systematically by following discipline. Furthermore, they will be taught to act for the sake of the team, not as a friendship but as a complex system or one organism. In other words, in their consciousness, the awareness of community will overcome that of personality. By this, students will receive, at first, strong loyalty to their community; at second, adamantine endurance unlikely to common people; and at last, the confronting hardships will become a routine matter for them. As a result, it would appear that in this way, students would learn not only to work in teams but also to become fully independent from others and ready to cooperate when it is necessary.
In conclusion, I would say that every methodology has its own domains in which it can have its very effect, such as team sports in school, which can encourage those who are more relevant to work in teams, and those who are far from being social can gain strong discipline from military-focused lessons and learn to cooperate in various matters.
