The bar graph illustrates the number of adults of various age groups in the UK using the internet daily between 2003-2206.
Overall, It is evident that youngsters were the highest users of the Internet whereas senior citizens saw the least preference.
At first glance, It can be seen that in 2003-2004 there were 80% of internet users in the age group 16-24 and the figures climbed to 100% in 2005 but slightly declined in 2006. It is interesting to note that the age group 25-44 and 45-54 followed similar patterns. In 2003 the internet users in both this age group were around 45% and 60% respectively. The numbers grew gradually every year and reached 80% in 2006 in both these age groups.
On the other hand, the consumption of the web was the least in the age group 55 to 65+. In the age group 55-64 the consumption range between 25% to 45% during four years. While it was the least in the age group 65+ which was just 20% and was much less as compared to other age groups.
