Band 6+: The differences between countries are becoming less evident because we can see the same brands, buildings, movies and clothes. Do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, many individuals believe that the differences between countries are becoming less due to same brands, infrastructure, movies and clothes. I do not agree with this view and I believe that every country has its own culture and history that cannot be similar to other countries, and they will always be different from each other.

To begin with, every country has its own history, culture and traditions. There may be countries with similar traditions and culture; however, they are never the same. Countries’ histories are unique and represent their identity. Nations frequently show their history through movies, clothes and design, which distinquish them from other countries. The differences between countries are huge despite similar brands, buildings, movies and clothes.

Furthermore, there are many popular trends around the world with similar clothes and style; nonetheless, it does not mean that countries are becoming less unique. Numerous young people now are closer to their traditions and historical clothes. For instance, in Kazakhstan there are many small brands that make clothes, bags and shoes with traditional symbols, blending history and modern design. The same brands, building, movies and clothes are just comfortable for people; however, it will never overshadow countries’ own history and culture.

In conclusion, there are many same brands, buildings, movies and clothes worldwide; however, the differences between countries are not becoming less because of it. I believe that every nation has its own history, traditions and culture that make them unique and different from other countries and cannot be overshadowed by modern trends.
