Today’s population is mixed with people from different cultures and religious, leading them to do similar occupations and make same choices. It is good that all humankind has a lot in common, but I believe that this may cause to the loss of several cultures’ traditions and customs as well as their own languages.
Nowadays, the world is becoming more connected, and a result, distinct countries are starting to look more alike. People across the globe often watch the same movies and TV shows only in one language which helps them understand each other well, tanks to streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube. Fashion trends also spread quickly, so many people wear similar clothes and follow same styles, often influenced by endorsements and celebrities on social media. Popular international brands such as Nike, Apple and McDonald’s are everywhere, no matter the country, making people from different countries usually share the same interests, habits, and lifestyles. In New York, good example, most individuals come there globally, who often want to study at university or work in well-paid jobs, have same lunch with someone from another part of the Earth, wear clothes from same brands, watch similar shows and videos online or on television, leading them live and think in similar ways.
Although globalization has some advantages in terms of entertainment and fashion, I think that many local traditions, languages and customs should remain strong continue to shape our daily lives. Firstly, local languages are still used at home, in schools and in community life, assisting to preserve cultural heritage, and each young generation is responsible for passing through native language as their ancestors did. Secondly, global trends may influence certain aspects of life, they do not replace deep-rooted customs that have been passed down through generations. Finally, cultural celebrations like Diwali in India, Ramadan in Muslim countries and Navruz in Central Asia are still widely practiced and deeply valued. These events reflect the unique identity and beliefs of each society, and in fact, there is a growing interest in protecting and reviving native traditions in response to globalization in same countries, showing that cultural differences are still matter and are not easily erased.
In conclusion, while globalization has brought people closer by creating shared habits, lifestyles, and interests, it is important to protect and preserve the unique languages, traditions, and customs that define each culture and keep our world diverse.
