The world around us is rapidly changing attributing to the rise in technology and automation. One such notably impacted sector of this development is that of automobiles, specifically cars. Through this essay, I would like to highlight a trend in the use of cars and how it is contributing toward the exploitation of resources.
To begin with, cars are the most widely used facility of transportation by most of us. A significant number of households across the globe are car owners and users of it in their day-to-day lives. Individuals indulge in the comfort, luxury, and flexibility cars provide and thus the surge in the number of cars each year is steep and ever-rising. Alternatively, the hazardous impact of these automobiles seems to be overlooked by most of us. The indigenous gases released by traditional cars are contributing to global warming and worsening climate changes. In decades to come, cars may be the leading factor responsible for the depletion of oils available in nature.
In retrospection, the use of public transport can account for the reduction in environmental pollution. Encouraging the use of buses, trains, and metros should be prioritized by the government. Moreover, the ownership of E cars or electric vehicles should be made available at flexible rates and aimed to replace fuel-driven cars in the long run. Governmental agencies across the globe should unite to develop standard laws of ownership and make efforts to adhere to the set regulations.
In my opinion, it is each individual’s commitment to be mindful of the ecosystem around us. We should put a combined effort into making better lifestyle choices and also motivating our peers to do the same. It is also important for governmental agencies to raise this agenda consistently and for us citizens of the world to respect and accommodate it.
