Cars have always been one of the most necessary means of transport in human life, especially in this industrial era. Recently, there are more and more cars being produced due to needs and the rapid development of society. There is an idea that substitutional types of transport should be popularized and global rules created in order to handle car use as well as car ownership. I totally agree with this viewpoint because of the reasons that are going to be illustrated in the following passages.
Firstly, other forms of transportation should be encouraged to reduce the effects of car overuse on the environment. Exhausted fumes from cars cause serious damage to the planet such as global warming or air pollution. Choosing alternative vehicles like bikes or public transports are great options to lessen the use of cars. For instance, my father replaced going to nearby destinations by private car and is using a bicycle instead.
Secondly, international laws should be deployed to monitor car ownership and car use. For instance, keeping the distance that individuals can drive at a certain value to control the output of harmful emissions to the atmosphere. Moreover, governments can also decide the amount of cars that each family purchases in order to reduce traffic jams in rush hours and make moving or parking in the city easier as there would be more spare spaces.
In conclusion, encouraging public transport and alternative vehicles as well as publishing worldwide laws are needed to help improve the traffic system and protect the global environment, forming a better society.
