In various countries, there is a heated debate among people whether encourage governments to spend funds on space exploration or on existing problems in the earth. Some argue that its is beneficial in the long-term for the earth, while others have presented their disagreements and have emphasized on solving the ongoing world’s problems. I will explore both viewpoints in the following paragraphs.
Firstly, there are critical challenges in the world that need immediate action and attention, and it is responsibility of every individual to take part in solving these problems. These challenges are threatening the lives of whole creatures and can have destructive impacts on our future generations as well. For example, nowadays, a large number of countries struggle with climate change and its damages, it would be an appropriate approach to put hands together and strive to finding solutions for this problem or any relevant ones. In my opinion, official bodies can address these issues at the top of their mission that people live peacefully, then can invest public money in studying other planets.
Secondly, supporters of space exploration claim that this approach can create opportunities for scientists and even ordinary people to study and broaden their horizon in different fields, such as medicine, agriculture, and science. For example, discovering more about other planets and their benefits to the earth; additionally, people can learn more about extraterrestrial beings which really can help and enhance the public knowledge of individuals in this aspect.
In conclusion, both opinions expressed their thoughts logically with its merits and drawbacks, but it is citizens’ right to demand authorities to facilitate ways and solve issues.
