In current times, global warming is the pressing issue for all the countries. It is believed by most people that, government should shift their focus from local environmental issues to increase the budget for urgent problems such as global warming. Here, I agree with this view to a major extent and this essay will discuss it in further with relevant reasons and supported examples.
As far as environmental problems are concerned, they are becoming worse day-by-day. One of the prominent environmental issue is considered as global warming. Over the period of time, it is found that global warming has caused the climate change which affects many areas, and farming is the major concern. Let me explain it more, due to climate change each season reaches to its peak like winter is becoming colder, summer is becoming hotter and during monsoon extreme rain affects the crops grown by farmers negatively which sometime can cause food scarcity. Apart from this, due to global warming sea levels are rising day-by-day which leads to situation like flood. Moreover, ozone layer is deplating in certain areas which results in direct contact of ultra violet rays and as a result it affects our lives, and it has found that people are suffering from skin cancer and eye sight problems where ozone hole is found.
In contrast, certain people has a belief that it is more important for government to spend on local environmental problems like air pollution and water pollution, but if government starts focusing on such problems then problems related to global warming will increase rapidly.
To conclude, state administration should focus more on decreasing global warming because it can cause serious issues like climate change which leads to food scarcity and affects people’s health, so focusing on solving problems like global warming will ultimately solve local problems.
