Band 5+: The graph below shows the number of shops that closed and the number of new shops that opened in one country between 2011 and 2018.

The line chart illustrates the number of shops that closed and the number of new shops in the same country from 2011 to 2018.

Overall, we can see that the number of opening shops significantly fell over the first year. The number of closed shops also started to drop by 2014, reaching a little over 250 shops in 2015.

In 2012, the number of opening shops started to rise, reaching 6200 shops in 2014. Then, the number fell again in 2015 to be 4000. However, the number remains relatively stable for the next three years, reaching 2018 with only 3000 shops remaining.

On the other hand, the number of closed shops remains relatively stable for about three years, until 2015. The number of shops dramatically fell. Although, the number of closed shops started to rise at the beginning of the next year, reaching 5000 shops. Then, they remained stable for the next few years.
