The line graph presents information about the amount of goods moved in the UK from 1974 to 2002 by road, water, rail, and pipeline.

As we can see in 1974, road was the most used method of goods transportation, exceeding 60 million tonnes, followed by water and rail, which were approximately at the same amount, around 40 million tonnes. Pipeline was the least used, at slightly above 0. After that, the lines were crawling up slowly, except for pipeline and rail. Pipeline had stopped rising since 1994, and rail remained at a similar level throughout the years.

On the other hand, in 2002, when compared to 1974, every method had risen dramatically. This was shown by the increasing road usage at a little below 100 million tonnes, water at around 60 million tonnes, rail stayed at around 40 million, and a big jump from 1974 by pipeline at around 20 million tonnes.
