The line graph illustrates the consumption of three types of fast food in UK from 1970 to 1990.
Overall, the expenditure on hamburgers, fish and chips showed an upward trend, while expenditure of pizza had decreased over the following period. Units are measured in grams.
At the beginning, in 1970, 300 grams of pizza were consumed by individuals in UK, whereas only approximately 30 grams of hamburgers and 80 grams of fish and chips were consumed in the same year. Moreover, pizza consumption was decreased and in 1985 it dropped to 200 grams and this lowest consumption of pizza. In contrast, after 1985 the consumption of pizza started to increase and end of the year it rose almost to 210 grams.
In addition, the consumption of hamburgers, fish and chips were gradually increased and consumption of hamburgers, fish and chips rose almost to 50 grams and 100 grams respectively in 1975. The highest amount of fish and chips were consumed in 1990 and that was the maximum expended fast food as compared with others. Hamburgers were the second most popular junk food and 280 grams of hamburgers were expend in 1990.
