Nowadays the list of endangered species continues to go up while the value of biodiversity dips steadily.
Overall, three strategies (preservation, avoidance, protection) which are presented can reverse the process of pulling down the world’s plants and animals populations. The practical and pleasing benefits of doing these steps are well worthwhile.
To begin with, governments could promote crucial role of biological variability by protecting forests and botanic gardens, sponsoring biological institutions and zoos. This may guarantee the preservation of untouched areas and save the species of certain aerials. Therefore, those species contribute to increasing populations and receiving more fresh air. However, without society understanding and involvement, government strategy would save only a little part from this ecosystem which is currently under the threat.
Another possible strategy is decrease of human influence on ecosystems, for instance, reduction logging or control of oil spills. Apart from that, big (large) companies should be encouraged to minimize the damage to environment (hazards impact on environment). This can be done by (more strict) stricter regulations which enhance company’s ecological liability. Contracts for public buildings and transport roads should be given only to the businesses with both good reputation and clear motives.
The additional solution might be securing natural habitats by either building new or expanding nature reserves. This would show instant positive consequences for those sectors with flora and fauna under the pressure. Although, if people push the living world to its own limits, the biodiversity will not stand it and some unpredicted acid rains or accidental water pollution will destroy it totally.
To sum up, there are lots of strategies and methods to keep up diversity of life but, apart from that, the main and vital point is people’s awareness and making enough effort to accomplish this goal.
