Nowadays, with the rising of personolized AI assistans for daily rutine such as scheduling, communication and information retrieval, has both benefits and disadvantages. The people argue, that potential risks to privacy and person’s autonomy are can be more, than a rumours. Furthermore, convenience and accessibility offered by these assistants may cause addiction in usage of them.
On the one hand, AI powered programs that can help individuals with their daily tasks are getting more and more smarter by the time, using personal infromation to adapt, and give more accurate responds. This “evolving” process making AI assistans unique to the exact individual, thus potentially increases the usage. For instance, there is no need in the infromation summarising because the system based on artifitial intellegence can sort useless data giving an accurate answer. This perspective suggests that the system could outbeat human’s brain by being faster and less effort.
On the other hand, most of the society are using assistans too frequently, abusing the system with simple questions, underestimating their own abilities to think. As a real-life example, the recent MIT studies noticed that an average american citizen’s brain is smaller compared to the 10 year old article, thus increasing the necessity of certain limitations in AI asisstants work. Also personal data that being stored in big amounts, may leak and give even more troubles to the society.
In summarise, the people are getting blinded by convinience of today’s technologies. Global companies and local news should raise the problem of how harmful can artifitial intellegence be. Otherwise the persons ability to think might dissapear in the next century.
