In multiple countries, the rising dependence on social networks for news consuming has bring to the spread of fake information and decline in reliance on regular journalism. Generally, there are many causes of this trend: popularity and brevity of social media, growing addiction to various apps, impatience and even loosing of basic abilities. However, there are some solutions that might be implemented to address the problem.
First of all, social media is an environment where person alleviates and relieves own stress, but it’s a quick dopamine. Correspondingly, it has its own aftermaths and consequences. Social media causes addiction by quick, not thought-provoking, easy to understand and non-ambiguous short clips and videos. In consequence, people are constantly loosing focus. They lose an ability to pay attention to their actions for long. Unfortunately, growing generations have this problem from young ages, so it will be more complicated for them to mitigate the risks. For instance, children who were born from 2014 to 2020 show very disappointing results on studies about addiction to the phone. Furthermore, they can’t understand what is true and what is not good source of information
However, people might tickle this problem by controlling young generations and encouraging their studying. For instance, government might implement some events related to phone-free activities.
