As technology advances, human beings are getting more dependent on gadgets, especially in the field of online communication . While some people believe that it eradicates conversational abilities, others think that the internet is the best tool for communicating. I tend to side with those who think that the internet improved our lives as a means of communication.

Many people have warned that the rapid development in the field of networks may lead to destruction of traditional ways of conversation. They are concerned that numerous people have started to explain the lack of face-to-face conversations by saying that it is more convenient to communicate by utilizing social networks. In other words, an individual can spend most of his time at home, sometimes, completely without movements, just because he is able to manage all of his duties, such as conversation related to their job, without getting up from the bed. As a result, excessive screen time contributes to the physical health issues as obesity and heart diseases. For example, researchers concluded that teenagers spend considerably less time in outdoor activities compared to 30 years ago.

However, those people who are in favor of intervention of technologies believe that its pros outweigh its cons. The innovation of the internet helped people who are far away from each other as a connection that prevents them from losing touch. For instance, international students use the internet to have a conversation with their families on facetime. Moreover, it has become a source of new acquaintances of individuals from different ethical backgrounds. As a result, today’s generation is more familiar with cultures and traditions of different countries.

To sum up, therefore, it can be said that the internet has provided us with more opportunities and that it has a huge impact on our daily life, predominantly in a good way.
