People have different views about social media stories that include more good news. While there can be several benefits to this development, I firmly believe that the bad news is far more significant.
On the one hand, having more good reports in social media stories has two primary advantages. The main one is that it inspires viewers. This is because when a student posts their achievements and their success with others, other social media users try to achieve their goals. In addition, it gives motivation or self-confidence. As a result, people become more responsible and focused on their future careers. Another piece of evidence is that it helps people to maintain their mental well-being. When people only watch positive stories, they will be less likely to be distracted by some mental issues. For instance, stress and depression, which may lead to fatigue.
Despite the above arguments, I support the view that having bad reports on stories is a positive development. Firstly, it demonstrates the reality. This is because bad news shows the real-world problems: wars, crimes, poverty, and violence. Consequently, the individual will be aware of what is happening in their country and try to increase security measures. Secondly, it helps society to develop. Because when the number of negative stories increases, the governments take control of them and try to solve these troubles. As a result, the society becomes safer.
In conclusion, although positive reports may be beneficial in motivation and mental health, I would argue that reality and societal developments are far more essential.
