The figure of the children has fall drastically in recent years who used to read books for entertainment. This essay will discuss the reasons and solutions for this issue in the following paragraphs.

One major reason of this issue is technology. Children are more into using mobile phones which change their perspective of reading books. In the past, young people used to read books in their leisure time for entertainment purposes but now they have several apps in their smart phones which can make them occupied.Individuals download games, some of them watch different kind of videos which keep them engage for hours .So they find reading books boring because they have alternatives to enjoy .For example ,children think reading books take time so that they can watch entertaining content in seconds .This perspective play a major role in declining the number of book readers.

Moving towards the solutions , One best idea can be provide varieties in the books so that youngsters will read books by interest .Content can be related to study or fun. In today’s world children love to live in imaginary world ,therefore, providing content related to their fantasy can encourage them to read books in their free time. As a result , they start reading books in their free time which can also have a great positive impact on their studies because reading books for fun can enhance their reading skills which will contribute to their overall academic performance.

In conclusion, although their are many reasons for children not having interest in reading books ,there are several measures that can be taken by teachers or their parents to make them more incline towards reading such as providing content related to their choices or interests.
