Can you imagine that every historical building has gone, and nothing from our legacy left? We are not a nation without our history. In my opinion, government do the right thing, pouring money in restoration of the old buildings because it keeps our history with us and does not let it to be forgotten.
Firstly, people like to complain about not having good roads, and no new housings. Furthermore, always blaming government for pouring money into old buildings and not new ones. But it is not connected with governmental decision of restoring our legacy. They need to have its own budget for this. Moreover, it needs to be highly appreciated, as it lead us to the future with history, and not some plain skyscrapers. How could we be a country, if we are looking the same as the other ones.
Secondly, these buildings are amazing masterpieces. Our ancestors crafted them with love and care; saved them throughout the years. For example, Lenin’s street in Kazakhstan, which is the longest walking street in the world, a high percent of buildings there, are old buildings, that are really stunning. They are really good looking and take you back in time to feel the history in person. Therefore, they are bringing warm atmosphere and obligate one to admire the view.
To conclude, it is essential for us to have our legacy behind our backs, and what is more important our kids’ backs. It allows youngsters to study history better, just imagine seeing history in real life rather than in books. We need to stand out from the gray mass, because who else have this treasure still breathing if not us.
