With the increasing popularity of AI in a number of workplaces, the stress level and barriers between this newly invented technology and existing skillsets of employees’ have been a significant concern. In this essay, I will discuss the main difficulties workers are faced by AI and steps that can be taken to mitigate the problems caused by AI.
There are numerous obstacles posed by AI at workplaces. One of them is the replacement of positions into a workplace. Since AI is entierly computer operated and has the capabilities to perform various tasks simultaneously, it can easily take over repetative works, accurately and quickly. In some cases, AI can carry duties which seem time-consuming and demand critical thinking, resulting in employers’ over-reliance on such technologies to gain considerably higher productivity. Consequently, replaces the need of low-skilled workers at workplaces. Also, It is imperative to have the required skillsets to operate AI-dependent instruments at industries. AI is newly invented and recently introduced technology, and because of its insufficent exposure to employees, they often find it difficult to complete their tasks that involve the usage of AI. As a result, there is a considerable gap between the existing skills and the knowledge needed to use AI, generating stressful environment among employees.

While AI serves as an indispensible tool that facilitates smooth and speedy workflow, its inclusion needs to be limited to only menial jobs. By doing this, employees will have sufficient opportunities to improve their critical thinking ability as the use of AI will be curbed. Additionally, training employees to utilize this technology effectively can be beneficial. Before employing AI into workplaces, employers should organize and sponsore classes that are specifically desined for effective adeptation of AI and taught by AI experts.
