Band 4+: The tendency of news reporters in the media to focus more on problems and emergencies than on positive developments is harmful to the individuals and the society as a whole. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, in media platforms, majority of news contains negative events and critical content. Instead of, showing positive. From perspective of others, this is a negative trend, but in my opinion, it is a symbol of democratic nations. This essay will explain how these trends help to eliminate corruption and display freedom speech of citizens.

To begin with, the new channel’s responsibility is finding corruption happening in country by conducting research or sting operations, illegal work should be coming out to the public. Otherwise, information rights of the general public could be gone. Although there is a possibility of wrong data came out. But truth is need to be published. For instance, in recent time, one media channel conduct sting operation on former BCCI chief selector and find out favoritism and money laundering. If this operation could not happen the truth might not come out.

Secondly, is this positive or negative? People writes to confess their feeling need to be protected. To support this, news presenter should have freedom to present reality to the public. Moreover, it is a right of civilians to consume information or going on the states. Therefore, content should not be judged if there is a good. News or not? It needed to be presented as it is. Otherwise, it is a sign of dictatorships, where people not allowed to express their feeling. For example, Russia is the country where news should in the favor of government. If not so, they might be faced ban.

In conclusion, to present a negative situation, and the emergency should be freely allowed. Because when bad things came out, chances of correction are increased. Otherwise, citizen’s right to speak is violated, and also corruption increases.
