The appliance of electronic media has caused some challenges in the private connection between people. In my opinion, I do disagree with this statement because the initial invention of electronic media is to assist human relations to get better. Since the beginning of its existence, electronic media such as television and mobile phones has made a positive impact on personal relationships between individuals.
One of the most advanced inventions of electronic media is television which encourages gathering of people especially in rural areas. Moreover, television has become an effective tool to spread mass information and as a result it can trigger people to gather to hear the news or entertainment. To give an illustration, a few decadesfrom a few decades ago until today, people gather in one specific place to witness one of the most watched sports in the world, which is the world cup. Therefore, it heightened the awesome interaction in a real world where humans can share stories, opinions, and discussions regarding this event.
The other reason why I disagree with the statement is that the ubiquitous use of mobile phones has a good cause to maintain a personal relationship from family, friendship, romance, work, and community. Moreover, mobile phones are used to check on each other or to keep in touch and consequently help people to make a better personal relationship. In addition, mobile phones are used to send wholesome messages, photos, and videos towards each other, therefore you can preserve a good relationship without conducting in-person meetings. For example, nowadays, people use a lot of mobile phones to video call their favorite person that lives in another place to maintain their interacting frequency.
In conclusion, Electronic media such as televisions and mobile phones have maintained a good personal connection between humans. An enormous amount of good relations can occur from watching a sports event together to video calling someone close in a one tab away. Hence, maximizing the good influence or benefits of those tools of electronic media depends on human’s control and to use it wisely is one of the vital things to remember.
