Over the last few years, mobile phones have become a vital part of our lives, our work and societies. It has undoubtedly changed our way of socialising and quite a few become introverts. Some people say mobile phones should be forbidden in certain places the same as smoking. The question is, is this true?
To begin with, in some ways, the mobile phone has undoubtedly made us less isolated. First, by mobile phone, almost anyone can stay in touch with friends and family who are far away to close as long as have the internet to be connected. This means it is possible to maintain family bonds even if you live separately, and so it helps you to sustain relationships. Second, it is much easier than ever to find people who have similar interests, problems, and situations as you. In other words, if you don’t have a cell phone, it’s hard for your relationships with other people to be easy.
Turning to friends, it is a mixed situation with personal relationships. Using mobile phones, some people always maintain a conversation just through it, even though their distance is not too far. Now, they have almost no time to talk to real people face-to-face and even prefer their virtual relationships via mobile phones.
In conclusion, although the mobile phone can cause problems for the few who are exposed, in many ways, it has enhanced our lives. Therefore, I believe fully disagree with the statement.
