Band 5+: The working week should be shorter and workers should hava a longer weekend

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Weekdays of work need to be shortened and working class should have more rest days.

In my opinion two or one day weekend is way too short for workers to reconnect with family, having a quality time. In addition many people need their selfcare time. Longer resting days may improve their mental and physical health.

After long hours of working people eagerly wait for Fridays and Saturdays to spend more time with their family and to have a little bit of rest. However weekends are not as long as tiring working days, with poor mental and physical health they have to just live through another week. Many workers say, that they feel so drained that they can not even spend their time with their loved ones. This is why situation forces them decide to choose family or rest. Employers need to take in consider that workers’ health has affects on their productivity.

Spending 5 or 6 days of your week working wears of persons health. It is natural that long working hours drains energy out of person’s body. Nevertheless many people manage to take care of themselves and their family even if they are tired, though it takes strong physical health to being able to do so. I think workers deserve at least another resting day, at least their working hours should be reduced without having impact on their salaries. Once I read information about some European countries’ working environment. Many of them have less working hours than ours and countries like Italy have afternoon naps. Also many Europeans don’t prioritize work over their personal life.

To summarize I would like to say spending quality time with family and selfcare is important, and worker should value their health over work.

There is an ongoing debate about the deleterious effects of tourism on Thailand’s culture and ecosystem. Most university students specialise in a particular field of study, while some argue that they should also be encouraged to take courses in other disciplines.
