There are many arguments advocating for traveling internationally because some believe it brings some benefits for both travelers and the country that they visited. Although the negative aspects of this trend are undeniable, I contend that the advantages ultimately outweigh the advantages.
On one hand, traveling abroad indirectly helps tourists to seize the opportunity of learning and experiencing the customs, cultural traditions, language and people in the country they arrived in. Indeed, some developing countries create many traveling tours to the countryside for foreigners to experience daily life and the traditional culture which earned a really good result of participation from foreigners and encouragement from native people. What is more, the country that attracts people with tourism not only benefits from promoting their tourist attraction worldwide but it also helps local people earn living from related-tourism activities such as tour guiding, local beverages and souvenirs selling, etc. For example, foreigners traveling to Vietnam often purchase some local souvenirs like knitting kitchen items or hand-embroidered bags or wallets, etc. Additionally, food cuisine in Vietnam gets popular to foreigners because of its wholesome and nutritious meal.
However, on the other hand, some demerits still exist and prevent people from traveling internationally. To illustrate this, Vietnam and Thailand are famous for their hospitable people and localized trips with low-priced budget, but the pollution and danger of thieves make a barrier for foreigners to travel. Despite the government’s control and improvement, the problems still exist.
In conclusion, international travel brings enormous advantages for tourists and the country they visited and I still believe people should take a positive look at the advantages of international travel and some specific solutions should be conducted to improve the drawbacks of traveling abroad.
