With the perevalance of large corporations,people assert that shortage of houses might bring social problems,so government should act to deal with the issue.I largely agree with this view because it can bting numerous benefits ,ranging from build affordable housing to make laws and control housing prices.
One of the most significant advantages is government has he power and money to build public housing.Most people do not have a opportunity to purchase house because of low salary ,another reason is due to high cost of building materials they can not construst house. This results in many families with children becoming homeless. For example, there are many families who continue to live in temporary accommodation because they cannot afford to buy or rent a home. The government has sufficient funding to build affordable housing for low- and middle-income families. In contrast, private developers usually focus on luxury apartments because they aim to maximize profits,thus resulting to serious social consequences.
Another important reason is government can make laws and control housing prices.By decreasing cost of houses low-and middle-income families can buy afford accommodation,this is particualrly cruical because if the government does not regulate prices of housing,many people can not buy their own houses.For instance,if the government sets the limits on cost of housing provides subsidies for first time buyers,thousands of low-income people can perchase their own low-cost houses.Therefore,it is beneficial for all people avoiding homelessness.
In conclusion,I fully agree with the idea that only government action can solve this problem because it offers two major advantages :build affordable houses and control housing .
