Positive And Negative

Band 5+: There is more and more outrage and anger common in society today. Why is this? Is this a positive or a negative development?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In these days, one of the most common problems is being anger issues. While almost anything may cause some level of unrest, noise and stress in the workplace are considered main ones. Personally, I think this is a completely negative trend, and this essay explains this topic in detail.

To begin with, anger is totally a natural reaction. It has been helping humanity for thousands of years, but why is it considered as an issue nowadays? The reason is that there is no need for physical protection in most cases in our lives. The reaction can be aroused by anything in particular, by noises because ancient specimens identified danger by sound, and this skill remained till today’s generation. Living in big cities and constant exposure to different levels of noise might result not only short-term anger issues, but also chronic problems such as loss of memory and ADHD.

Furthermore, alongside with noise, stress has a strong reputation for being the main setback for human health. Many governments invest in the medical field just to find a solution for this problem. To describe how stress can be detrimental for an individual’s brain, there are a few examples: around 1850, one of the most famous crime cases occurred. An ordinary man around his 30s killed his supervisor. During court, he admitted that they constantly bullied him; consequently, the culprit was so outraged that he perpetrated the crime unconsciously.

To conclude, despite being a natural reaction, anger can be very destructive, and the worst part is it may be tickled by almost anything, including stress during jobs and noise.
