In the contemporary world, an increasing number of people prefer to watch live perfomances with the comfort of their homes, whether through a television or a computer screen. While this trend leads to positive outcomes, it also raises concerns about negative drawbacks. In my opinion, positive and negative consequences of this phenomenon balance each other.
To begin with, one of the main positive effects is that watching live performances while sitting at home offers comfort for individuals. For example, people who do not want to enter crowded areas such as concerts, they can have a chance to watch at home. Besides, thanks to the rapid technological advancements, people can easily engage in shows or concerts online. Additionally, these days, several people are suffering from chronic disorders like asthma, cardiovascular diseases. Such people have risk attending a concert, as these spots are more likely to be crowded, and air-polluted. Therefore, patient people have an opportunity to watch these concerts on TV screen.
On the other hand, there are also notable disadvantages associated with watching shows from one’s home. One significant negative approach is the lack of social communication with the world. The enegy of the crowd, the atmosphere of the venue, and the interaction with the performers cannot be fully replicated through a screen. Secondly, spending excessive time on screeen leads to physical and psychological health problems such as eye strain and sedentary behavior.
In conclusion, while there are clear positive effects of watching live performances at home, such as convenience, and cost saving, there are also disadvantages like potential social withdrawal and negative health impacts. I firmly believe that pros and cons are equivalent to each other, because it depends on people’s choices at the end of the day.
