Presently, the prevailing argument is that the reliance on artificial intelligence in various domains has given rise to perilous challenges worldwide. While I concur with the notion that computer technology has brought about significant adverse effects, I also contend that it has substantially enhanced these sectors in numerous ways.
On the one hand, the predominant drawback of integrating computers into communication, medicine, and transport systems is the looming threat of cyber-terrorism. This has resulted in considerable disruption and instilled fear in society, providing malevolent actors such as hackers, scammers, identity thieves, and virus creators with more opportunities. Digital terrorist attacks perpetrated by organized groups have breached secure systems, acquiring classified information for personal gain, leading to inconveniences and financial losses within these sectors. For instance, in 2021, a notorious fraudster was sentenced to 11 years in prison for infiltrating a medical website during the COVID-19 pandemic and extorting large sums of money from victims. Consequently, various sectors allocate substantial resources to fortify their systems against potential cyber-attacks, recognizing the dire consequences of digital terrorism.
On the other hand, the incorporation of computer technology in communication, medicine, and transport sectors can result in heightened operational efficiency and productivity. This expedites processes and saves significant time, making access to information more convenient. Recently, it has been noted that healthcare professionals utilize technology to swiftly identify and treat infections, thereby streamlining work processes. Furthermore, technology facilitates seamless record-keeping and enables workers to engage with diverse cultures and concepts, fostering excellence in business operations. For instance, in the past, achieving rapid progress was arduous due to the absence of computer technology, but advancements have substantially eased these undertakings. It is apparent that technology has imparted tangible benefits to various sectors.
In conclusion, while acknowledging the adverse impact of digital technology on these sectors, I maintain that it has also engendered significant advancements in communication, healthcare, and transportation systems
