More and more students of universities are shown to study abroad, and hence, that leads to homesickness complaints being more popular than before. However, they receive higher quality education while being outside of their home country.
One of the drawbacks is that students are missing their home, as a consequence stimulating occurrence of the mental problems, so the grass may not always be greener on other side.*. The reason for that is usually the absence of relatives, such as family and friends, in the same manner as when a dog doesn’t see its owner in years. Depression is believed to contribute to an overall unhappiness, because of this, it may be difficult to continue studies and receive a quality education. To summarize, some individuals might be discouraged to study, by having a drastically lower number of known people around them.
Speaking of the latter, many universities abroad, are recognized globally due to their status and accordingly the investments. In short, they are located in first world countries, which earn way more money than a third world country’s, and that makes it possible to invest in higher quality education, furthermore to buy expensive or advanced equipment, and hire well educated staff accordingly, as well as, to create the best environment for comfort. In fact, over 30% of lectors in universities are
employed internationally and there are progressively more international learning facilities. With that said, it proves how some travel abroad in order to get a higher comfort level and better education.
In conclusion, the reason behind studying abroad may not be apparent on the first glance, it is still heavily influenced by a thrive for a high quality education. On other hand, the possibility of being homesick, and thus influencing your ability to study properly is often overlooked.
