Most of the time, you need problem-solving skills that you get from the basics of science and math. For instance, doing an MRI can help you have a good knowledge of physics, magnetism, etc.
Opponents claim that studying only one subject at university would make you a master in that field, and you stand a chance of getting a high-paying job in the field.
