The question of whether students should concentrate on all subjects or focus on one that interests them and in which they excel is debatable. I completely agree with the latter notion for two reasons.
Firstly, proponents argue that university students should study subjects they find engaging. By concentrating on these subjects, their enthusiasm can aid in comprehending abstract concepts and effectively drive them forward. Furthermore, these students are more inclined to broaden their perspectives willingly, even in the face of challenges. Importantly, they do not require constant external pressure.
Conversely, this approach can prevent the brain from becoming overwhelmed with various issues that can lead to greater stress. When students study fields they are not interested in, they may quickly become bored. This results in weaker retention of information, and if this pattern continues, students may become significantly fatigued.
In conclusion, when students engage with their favorite subjects or occupations, their overall outlook on life can improve, potentially mitigating issues like tardiness or truancy. This can instill a sense of dedication and encourage them to work diligently.
