In contemporary society, advertisements are an integral element of our society’s functionality. While some maintain that its influence on consumers’ behaviors and lifestyles is deleterious, others reject this notion, believing that advertising brings about a multitude of benefits to both individuals and society. This essay will discuss this issue and underline the reasons for my support of the latter opinion.
On the one hand, some leadership abilities are innate, namely having a powerful presence and emotional intelligence. Indeed, some character traits that leaders have are inherent and noticeable even in their youth. It is undeniable that people cannot learn to be positive, inspiring or enthusiastic. To be more specific, if someone is born an introvert, the limelight is not for them, whereas people with innate extroversion love to take the spotlight with their inherent charisma and confidence. Additionally, it is essential for leaders to have interpersonal sensitivity – another hereditary trait. For instance, taking care of people’s feelings and finding smart ways to bond people together are intangible characteristics that some individuals are born with.On the other hand, a well-crafted ad brings numerous benefits to society and individuals by raising people’s awareness, promoting economic growth, and encouraging competition. To be more specific, ads play a role in shaping cultural values and can inspire social change, such as promoting diversity or environmental responsibility. In other words, advertising supports charitable causes by mobilizing donations and resources, benefiting both businesses and communities. Additionally, ads help consumers make informed decisions by showcasing options, highlighting unique features, and offering comparisons, making it easier for people to find products that meet their needs.
In conclusion, advertising encourages impulsive purchases and creates the illusion of a flawless lifestyle. Nonetheless, it contributes notable advantages, which overshadow its deleterious consequences, namely enhancing people’s awareness, promoting economic growth and facilitating the identification of desirable products. Ultimately, as ads have huge influences on ppl’s lives, ppl must try to use them to their advantage by staying vigilant of the false “perfect lifestyle” it creates.
