Nowadays, while the internet provides many advantages, some individuals have come to believe that problems related to the information security and control are more significant than its benefits. I partly agree with this opinion.
On the one hand, the internet has changed citizen’s lives in many positive ways. Firstly, it allows people to communicate with each other, regardless of one’s location, with the help of social media and video calls. Secondly, the internet provides access to a huge amount of information, making it easier for students and workers to study and complete their tasks. In addition, many people can now work remotely, which creates more occupation opportunities.
On the other hand, there are some serious drawbacks. One major issue is that personal information can be stolen by scammers or dishonest companies. As a result, people may lose money or become victims of identity theft. Moreover, disinformation spreads very quickly on the internet, which can confuse individuals and influence their opinions in an adverse way.
In conclusion, although the internet has some drawbacks, I believe that its benefits outweigh disadvantages. Nevertheless, governments and technology companies should enhance online security and protect users’ personal data to reduce these dilemmas
