Governments in developed nations should welcome refugees and provide them with basic necessities such as food and shelter. I completely agree with this statement because people should have equal rights to a normal life, especially if there are potentially life-threatening conditions in their home countries.
Refugees are typically from poor, underdeveloped countries where human rights are rarely respected. People cannot choose where they are born, and they rarely have the option of moving to a more developed country. Therefore, they must deal with their current political situation. To address this inequity, governments of politically stable countries should have a moral obligation to help those in need because they have enough resources to do so. While they may not have the capacity to resolve the situation in another country, they can still accept refugees and provide them with the necessary assistance. For example, wealthy European countries took in a large number of Syrian refugees, saving many lives.
Furthermore, many countries pose significant dangers to their citizens as a result of ongoing conflicts or severe humanitarian crises. Under such circumstances, leaving those countries is a matter of survival. That is why wealthy nations can accept refugees as a moral mission to save a large number of innocent people, including children and women. For example, neighboring countries’ refusal to allow Palestinians from Gaza to enter their borders has resulted in tragic consequences, resulting in unnecessary loss of life and prolonged suffering.
In conclusion, developed countries should allow refugees to stay in their countries, which will bring more justice and make the world safer.
