Marriages are costly in many nations nowadays rather than to past. influation increasing day by day that is a big reason behind this. This is a negative development because some people cannot afford expensive weddings.
One serious reason behind this bridal and groom dresses are too expensive. No doubt, these dresses are very lavish, but the designer charges alot. However, this is a necessary part of every wedding so people invest their money on these dresses. Moreover, there are a number of rituals which are full fill by money, such as ring ceremony, bridal shower, Hollywood and Bollywood nights. For example, a survey conducted by Punjab University in 2021 found that 75% of parents do not afford marriage ceremonies to their children due to unnecessary events. consequently, the government should take steps about those event which has not significant in the Islam.
On the other hand, today’s events are arranged in the marriage hall where people put their big investment for all arrangements such as the decoration sound system and electricity system. Furthermore, wedding food is too much expensive because the number of dishes is included in the menu. For example, chicken, beaf, Russian salad rice, and some other sweet dishes, so there are all things that require a heavy amount. The majority of people sell their properties to fulfill the wedding expenses. Thus, boys and girls parents cooperate with each other, and then expenses can be reduced.
In conclusion, in many countries, families with boys are in high demand for girls, which makes marriage very expensive these days. These demands affect the poor people lives.
