In my opinion, discipline, adaptabillity and sociability are my three qualities, which will help me succeed on the exchange program. This traits are also especially usefull on my daily life.
Discipline is one of the prime quality that serves me well in daily situations. As a student, I tend to stick composed and complete all requirements from other people properly. I like to be punctual and do my best to achieve high results, as well as learn new things. My father always said, that self-discipline is a key to succes, so I try my best to strengthen my good habits and willpower. In my daily life, I can grammatically allocate time for studying, sports, completing assignments and communicating with friends. This quality will definetly help me in a study abroad.
Another valuable quality of mine is adaptabillity. Sometimes, life throw an unexpected challenges on our way, and being able to adjust to conditions is crucial. As Dolly Parton once said, “We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.” For instance, when me and my command were at the project accelerator, our reviewing mentor suddenly changed, so did the assessment criteria for the project. Accepting the change, I swiftly learned new skills and adapted to new inquiry, turning this expetience into a beneficial one. Due to our hardwork we passed the first pitch and had a nice reward. Thus, adaptabillity will help me in embracing new skills with an open mind in exchange program.
Lastly, sociability is a trait that allows me interact and make good relationships with others. I believe that by approaching and talking with new people may expand our outlook and significantly improve soft skills. As Carl Jung said, “The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” It is promotes successful integration into society, establishing useful connections and better cultural experience. I remember, one time I approached to a singer, who were lecturing about art’s importance and we made an acquaintance. After that, I invited her to make a soundtrack for our short film and she expressed her sincere interest and was pleased to contribute in our project. I am confident that this same authenticity will help me build strong relationships with the people I meet abroad.
