Majority of people believe that the salary is the most important factor on choosing a job. Personally, I disagree with this idea because of other reasonable factors such as the feeling of job satisfaction and the levels of happiness.
It is true that money can increase the quality of people’s lives and solve several problems related to health issues, better education and other basic needs. For instance, people think that they only have an access to high-quality medicine and high-tech education when they choose a job with high salary. In addition, it is difficult to travel overseas by earning low income. Due to the fact that the necessity of high-income job plays a crucial role on people’s wishlists, many are choosing a career based on the size of the salary offered.
Nevertheless, I believe that other considerations are just as important as what we earn in our jobs. Firstly, individuals should be offered the comfortable atmosphere in a workplace. This is one of the most important key to success on career, namely, soicable collegues, flexible worktime and place can make people be satisfied from their job. For example, the great number of artists and poets want to choose their job in order to live with happiness rather than high earnings. This choice can give them comfort, peace and also they can get professional achievements during their work although they agree with low salary.
In conclusion, while salaries certainly affect people’s choice of profession, I do not believe that money outweighs all other motivators.
