Many people think that when choosing a job the most important thing is the salary, while others believe that career opportunities, learning new skills, and gaining experience are more important. This issue has both good and bad sides that affect people’s lives. This essay will discuss the main ideas and give my opinion.
First of all, I agree that a good income attracts employees, simply because people need it for living and to take care of their life, for example to cover family responsibilities, including house, children, transport, and other daily needs. It can also help them save money for future plans or to start their own business. Moreover, high income can also attract and keep workers, motivate them to work hard, give their best effort at work, and help them get higher positions and create competition between workers.
On the other hand, I believe that not everyone thinks that salary is the most important. Experience and job satisfaction also matter, because you can use your knowledge and skills in the job and try to improve them. This is more useful than money only, because learning and improving skills help a person to grow and get better chances in the future.
In conclusion, it is clear that both sides have strong arguments. However, if I had to choose, I would probably say that salary is most important because it allows you to cover all your living expenses. But it depends on the person. Some may think that gaining experience, using skills, and feeling satisfied is more useful than earning a high salary. In short, while salary matters, experience and job satisfaction are also very important when choosing a job.
