Nowadays, the process of recruiting a new employee might not be easy. Not only do job seekers have to prepare themselves to meet strict criteria, but recruiters also need to choose the right candidates carefully. Many people believe that during the recruitment process, employers should prioritize individual traits over their skills and experience. I am on the same page with this view because it helps to minimize the potential of unnecessary problems related to human intercation. Beside that, people with great personalities are easier to train for their competencies.
Scouting people with excellent attributes will minimize the potential for unnecessary conflicts among employees. Those people will build strong collaboration professionally without any kind of hidden individual agendas because they understand how important it is to reach organization’s goals and distinguish their professional from personal aspects. They also can manage problems calmly without attack each other personally. For instance, employees will focus together on solving an error in an application without accusing people who might be responsible for this problem.
Considering the quality of talents, it is easier to train employees with great personal traits to get certain point of qualifications. Those workers realize that they need to reach the competencies needed, so they have massive determination and persistence to catch up their ability. Companies just need to support them with training facilities and time to learn, they will master skills required easily.
We can conclude that employers should focus more of their attention on personal qualities because it will reduce unneeded workplace conflicts in the future and it is more manageable to make up people’s competencies rather than their manner.
