Band 5+: While some parents think homework puts too much pressure on children, others believe it is essential for a child's educational development. Discuss both sides and give your opinion

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is frequently considered by some parents that homework is something that cause pressure on pupils. However , others think that homework is pivotal for academic growth of student. Personally , I would agree that tasks given for home do not burden children , but rather the opposite , ease the understanding of the lessons .

Firstly , school made up almost a whole day of a student , leaving little time for them to do their own activities. So the amount of challenging homework can affect a well-being of an individual , as it requires enough energy to complete all of them . For instance , an average pupil has approximately six or seven lessons every day, and finishing assignments for each of them will take up to two or more hours , which mean that one’s excess time will be limited. That’s why parents might be of an opinion that homework influence student’s condition.

However , I believe that by giving a homework teacher can ensure that every student has revised the topic covered. The dynamic class and the restricted time of each lesson do not allow to practice the passed material thoroughly . As an example , schools in Kazakhstan only give forty minutes for each lesson , which is not enough to understand the topic fully and put it into practice. But ,when the children are given tasks to complete on their own , they can evaluate themselves and identify their weekness. Thus , the homework is the key to success in education , since it provides an opportunity to consolidate the knowledge gained at school.

To conclude , although it requires the energy and time , I feel that it is homework which plays crucial role in academic development.
